Solutions · Clinical trials

Cognitive endpoints, measured at home, for the length of the trial.

Cognition is usually assessed at a few site visits with pen-and-paper tests. Axite records brain activity at home throughout the study, so sponsors see how attention and cognitive load change week by week instead of in two or three snapshots.

What sponsors and CROs get

01 · Endpoints

Exploratory cognitive endpoints within the approved protocol

Participants record short EEG sessions at home with a consumer-grade headset. Axite delivers attention and cognitive load scores per session, plus the underlying brain rhythms and event-related potentials, as exploratory endpoints alongside your primary outcomes.

02 · Regulatory context

Aligned with what regulators now expect to see

The EMA guideline on trials in epileptic disorders (Rev. 3, in force since September 2025) expects effects on cognition, sleep and reaction time to be studied. Home-based measurement makes that practical at trial scale.

03 · Operations

A managed pilot, not another system for sites to run

Axite configures the study, onboards and supports participants, monitors data quality, and delivers the dataset. Sites keep their existing workflow.

04 · Data

Open formats, delivered to your data management

Raw EEG in EDF, scores and metadata in CSV, a BIDS-compatible structure and API access. Nothing is locked inside a vendor dashboard.

Clinical partners

Developed with neurologists and researchers at SEIN, LUMC and Leiden University, and with patient organisation EpilepsieNL.

Hardware supplied as trial material

Consumer-grade headsets are shipped to participants as study supplies. Muse is integrated today, and the platform is hardware agnostic.
